Volunteer needed for Paseo Arts Festival

Volunteer needed for Paseo Arts Festival, OKC…!!!

The Paseo Arts Festival is held on Memorial Day weekend, May 25, 26, and 27, 2013 in the historic Paseo Arts District in Oklahoma City. From mask making and other children’s arts activities, to slingin’ drinks at our beverage tents, to helping artists and patrons of the Festival have an amazing arts-filled experience, your students and employees are sure to have both a fun-filled and rewarding volunteer experience filled with live music, great food, and original art shown from more than 80 artists around the country.

Volunteers are asked to commit to at least a 3 hour shift on any one day during the Festival. To fill out the Festival Volunteer Form, CLICK HERE. Or, volunteer groups may contact Kasandra Cooper at kcooper@thepaseo.com -or- (405) 525-2688 to coordinate a more personalized volunteer shift.

2012 Institute on Philanthropy and Voluntary Service

Sponsored by the Fund for American Studies with courses accredited by Georgetown University, the 2012 Institute on Philanthropy and Voluntary Service is a summer academic internship program held in Washington, D.C. for undergraduate students interested in volunteerism and careers in the nonprofit sector.

The Institute combines substantive professional experience for 30 hours a week (for 8 weeks) with a challenging academic experience at Georgetown University.

The internship will last from June 10 to August 24th, 2012. Applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis until March 7th, 2012. Apply early! If you apply before December 2nd, 2011, you’ll receive a 5% discount!

SIFE USA Program Manager opening

SIFE USA currently has a Program Manager position available.  This position will be responsible for day-to-day program implementation of the SIFE USA Program in a US territory and requires extensive travel.

  • Manage, evaluate, and foster the progress of active SIFE teams on 80-130 campuses and participate in face-to-face, on-campus training programs, along with other communications and initiatives as needed, to help SIFE teams and faculty to continuously improve the quality of their program.
  • Increase the number of active SIFE students within the assigned geographic region.
  • Interface with university deans, administrators, and other leaders as needed to support local SIFE teams.
  • Prepare periodic status reports of campus visits and key statistical data.
  • Manage SIFE team competitions as assigned.
  • Identify prospective college and university participants and implement a recruitment strategy to gain support for starting a SIFE team from the administrators, faculty and students at these institutions.
  • Manage territory travel budget.
  • Prepares annual report summary on territory activities.
  • Position is a full-time traveling role.

Key Characteristics and Experience:

  • Passion for and understanding of SIFE; participated in some aspect of SIFE.
  • Results-driven individual able to give evidence of establishing goals, planning and follow-up skills, and achieving goals.
  • Willingness to work from the SIFE USA office in the SIFE World Headquarters located in Springfield, MO.
